The sacred Pournami Garuda Seva was celebrated with great devotion and splendor at the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple. As part of the monthly full moon festivities, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) organized the event, attracting thousands of devotees from across the country.
From 7 PM to 9 PM, Lord Malayappa Swamy, adorned with rich ornaments and divine attire, was taken out in a grand procession on Garuda Vahanam along the four Mada streets surrounding the temple. The sight of the Lord mounted on Garuda, symbolizing protection and divine strength, filled the atmosphere with devotion and spiritual energy.
Devotees offered karpoora harathi (camphor light) and prayed with deep faith, seeking the Lord’s blessings for prosperity and well-being. The event was conducted smoothly with the support of TTD officials, ensuring a peaceful darshan for all pilgrims.
The Pournami Garuda Seva continues to be one of the most revered rituals at Tirumala, marking the divine bond between Lord Venkateswara and His celestial vehicle Garuda, while reinforcing the temple’s timeless traditions and devotional spirit.
