Fátima Bosch Crowned Miss Universe 2025 Amid Controversy

Fátima Bosch, representing Mexico, won the Miss Universe 2025 crown at the 74th edition of the global pageant held at the Impact Challenger Hall in Nonthaburi, near Bangkok, Thailand. Thailand’s Praveenar Singh secured the position of first runner-up, while India’s Manika Vishwakarma impressed audiences by reaching the Top 30.

This year’s competition was marked by multiple controversies, including the resignation of several judges and a public argument between Miss Mexico, Fátima Bosch, and an event organizer, leading to her walkout during a pre-pageant event. Meanwhile, Puerto Rico has officially been announced as the host country for the 75th Miss Universe pageant in 2026.
